The new 2014 jeep Grand Cherokee (already on sale) is probably the best jeep yet. With its remarkable off-road capability, the new 2014 Grand Cherokee provides a jeep that can finally move at high speed in rough terrains with amazing controls, agility and stability.
It’s improved inside-out design gives it a more appealing look. The 2014 Grand Cherokee is available in 2-wheel and 4-wheel Drive options and with a diesel engine option. It comes in five trim levels: Lavedo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRTS. The difference between the 2014 Grand Cherokee and the 2013 model basically lies in its improved styling, performance, technology and upgraded power train.

Performance

The 2014 jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with a high 290 horsepower 3.6-litre V6 engine known for its fuel economy. The V6 engine can be upgraded to a 360- horsepower 5.7- liter V8 or 240-horsepower 3.0-Liter EcoDiesel turbo V6 engine. The SRT8 luxury trim comes with an exclusive high performance 470 horsepower 6.4- liter V8 Hemi engine. These engines are paired with a new standard, fuel efficient 8-speed automatic transmission. Mpg for the new Grand Cherokee is rated at 17mpg for city and 25mpg highway speed. With its new engine options and transmission, the 2014 jeep Grand Cherokee offers high performance and effective fuel economy.

Interior

There are several upgrades from the previous models in the interior including a redesigned center stack with a new shift box selector, a three-spoke steering wheel and an improved instrument cluster. Other features include a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated leather upholstery, rear packing camera, UConnect wireless connectivity, rear seat DVD entertainment system, multimedia, infotainment system with a hand drive navigation system, spacious legroom, Bluetooth, a dual-zone automatic climate control, USB port, 5-inch touch-screen display, keyless entry with a push button start.

Safety

For safety the 2014 Grand Cherokee features an optional Forward Collision warning system with crash mitigation which is capable of identifying an impending collision and notifying the driver of imminent danger. There is also the new UConnect Access system with voice activation (offering a 911 emergency assist connection to keep help assistance), Blind spot monitoring, seven airbags, brake assist and superb handling.
