Britney Spears is Highest-Paid Female Musician 2012
Posted on 05:31 by Unknown
With no new music released or any tours whatsoever, Britney Spears has beaten both top selling music acts like Taylor Swift and Rihanna to be crowned highest-paid female musician of 2012.
Spears topped Forbes magazine's list of the Highest Paid Female musicians earning $58m from May 2011 to May 2012.
Britney is thought to have earned the money from mostly her platinum-selling LP Femme Fatale and her most recent tour, which took place from June to December 2011.
Taylor Swift followed closely behind Spears with an estimated $57m, with her tour raking in over $1m a night. Her most recent album Red also contributed to the figure after selling 1.2million copies in its first week. Added to her endorsements with CoverGirl and Sony.
Next is Rihanna with $53m - with her tour and big hits such was We Found Love and Diamonds also helping her total earnings, as well as endorsements with Vita Coco and Nivea
Lady Gaga is fourth on the list with $52m, while Katy Perry completed the top five with $45m.
We are hoping Beyonce will top the list next year with her $50m endorsement deal with Pepsi.
The list takes into account cash made from record sales, touring, endorsements, merchandise sales, as well as other projects. Management fees, legal costs and taxes are also withdrawn.
