Nexus 4 Smartphone Sold Out In U.K. Within Minutes Of Going On Sale

Google's latest smartphone, the Nexus 4, has sold out in the U.K., within 30 minutes of going on sale.
The 4.7-inch Android device went on sale in the U.K. on Tuesday, alongside Google's two latest tablets, the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 -- and it looks like the devices are proving popular.
According to reports on Twitter, some customers found that stocks of lowest priced Nexus 4, the 8GB version, were bought up within a mere 15 minutes of going on sale. Google has also started selling a $20 bumper for the Nexus 4.
The reason for this accessory’s existence has nothing to do with weak signal issues – that was what the iPhone 4′s bumper case was supposed to fix. The Nexus 4 is made by LG, and — in addition to running the very latest iteration of Google’s Android OS, 4.2 Jelly Bean — it packs a 4.7 inch display and a 1.5GHz quad-core chip.
In the U.K. its price-tag starts at £240 for the 8GB version — which effectively means you’re getting a high-end 3G device for a mid-range price.
The Nexus 10 tablet however is made by Samsung, powered by its Exynos 5 dual-core chip. Its biggest boast is a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600. Its price-tag starts at £320 for the 16GB version.
