Rick Ross apologizes for rape lyric: I don't condone rape

Rapper Rick Ross is under intense attack from all quarters about his 'rape lyric' in a song. After previously offering an apology earlier at a radio interview, saying he was "misunderstood" and that "woman is the most precious gift known to man", the rapper took to Twitter today to once again apologize for the lyric which he maintains was misinterpreted.

The lyric said goes: “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.”
Already, his sponsors, Reebok are being pressured by women rights groups to drop him.  A new women's right group UltraViolet, has collected more than 70,000 signatures on a petition demanding that Reebok drop the rapper.
“In remaining silent, Reebok is using it’s brand to promote rape,” said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet, in a statement. “Reebok and Rick Ross have crossed a line.”

They plan to deliver the petition to the Reebok’s flagship store in Manhattan today. Reebok has yet to comment or react in any way.

Well..
